Rare "Illustrated Niagara" Antique Souvenir Book 1910 Era Printed in Magenta Ink

This is a very odd and very hard-to-find souvenir book titled "
Illustrated Niagara – The Place of Wonders – The Electrical City of the World.
" It was issued by the Niagara Falls Trades and Labor Council, Niagara Falls, New York. It is very similar to the cyanotype photographs that were printed in all blue but this one is printed in only magenta ink. The book is not dated but from the photos it looks to possibly be from around 1910.
It measures 6" x 9.25" with 32 pages. On the first page it reads "
This souvenir book of Niagara Falls is not only to give a comprehensive idea of the wonderful and beautiful city in which we live, but also to show the cooperative spirit which exists between the trade unionists and the business interests in general.
" The book does show pictures of the actual Falls but mainly shows the city in general.
Some of the pictures include main street view, hotels, pumping stations, interior filtration plant, the great Gorge route railway, whirlpool rapids, horseshoe curve, the Spirella Corset factory, the legend of Niagara, schools, hospitals, the Shredded Wheat building, Niagara Falls brewery, the Armory temperance house, the Peerless ice cream company, the Cataract brewing company, and much more. On the back of the book it reads "Compliments of the Shredded Wheat Co."
The book is in very nice condition. It has just a little bit of wear and discoloration on the paper cover. The interior pages are nice. There is a very light ghosting of the magenta ink from page to page. One photo would leave a very light imprint on the opposite page. Binding is good. I have never found another one of these so I'm guessing it is quite a scarce piece of Niagara history.
