    Description

Original WWI "For Your Boy" YMCA United War Work Campaign Vintage 1918 Poster
Large 30" x 20" World War I Ketterlinus Phil Committee of Public Information
original propaganda poster. Plastic wrapped with cardboard backing. I have not taken it out of it's protective covering since I acquired it, but it looks to have tears on each corner as well as a few along the top edge, general age wear and creasing.
Issue by the Y.M.C.A. for the United War Work Campaign that ran from November 11 – 18 in 1918. Designed by Arthur William Brown (1881-1966), best known for his illustrations in the Saturday Evening Post, this poster shows 2 men in military uniforms: one pouring a cup of tea for the younger soldier sitting who is holding his rifle across his lap and his helmet set at his feet; the signpost with Y.M.C.A. logo is featured in upper right corner.
