    Offered here is one of the most evocative war propaganda posters from the Great War -- the War to End All Wars-- World War One.  This is a completely original 1918 lithograph poster featuring artwork by C.W. Love and supporting the Red Cross exhorting Americans, especially recent immigrants, to "Come Across" to Europe by supporting the Red Cross War Fund. The poster features m
    ilitary and civilian figures in war-torn Europe looking across the water at silhouettes of the Statue of Liberty, the Capitol, other buildings, and a red cross in the sky. The text urges: "If you can't go across with a gun, come across with your part of the Red Cross War Fund." Printed in New York, the poster measures
    41 x 28” with visible folds and inpainting. Linen backed. I would give the poster an overall grade of B.
