New Handmade Baby Quilt / Wall Hanging~12 Cross Stitched Panels~41" H x 33" W

Description

This is a beautiful, hand made baby quilt/wall hanging that I could not walk away from at the thrift store. The work that went into this is amazing! There are 12, 6" x 6" cross stitched panels, and the piece is quilted around the panels by hand. They feature sweet baby themed pastel squares that come together to make a completely charming quilt. It has not been laundered in my opinion, and if you do, not in the machine, this needs to be dry cleaned to preserve the cross stitched Aida panels without making them wrinkly. No signs of use, except that there is a light spot(s) on the back side edge (see last photo), no odors. Light blue fabric with yellow fabric boxes around the panels look like windows. The panel themes, from top to bottom, left to right are:
1. Baby and diaper pins
2. Crescent moon and hearts
3. Teddy Bear blowing pink heart shaped bubbles
4. Blocks with toy duck and teddy
5. Teddy Bear on a chair with the caption "Baby Bear"
6. "Welcome to our World" with lamb, bunny, bear, and hobby horse
7. Rainbow puppy dogs
8. "Sweet Dreams" in a lacy look heart
9. Baby in crib with duck toy
10. Baby elephant on an old fashioned baby scale
11. Baby in basket
12. Baby sleeping on tummy with this poem:
"Sweet Little Baby
For You This Prayer
May God Keep You
In His Care."
I am guessing this was made in the 80's or 90's and put away or forgotten (?). It is too sweet not to be loved. It would be lovely over a crib on the wall. Very nicely made by an expert seamstress. Please see the photos. I ship within 24 hours of payment. Thanks for looking!
