Goldstone - "Stone of Ambition"
Goldstone is a man-made glass material produced from a low-oxygen environment containing mostly copper specks, chromium oxide, cobalt, and/or manganese. The most common color is the red-brown variety (containing mostly metallic copper) while colors of green, blue and purple are also available from goldstone. Goldstone is historically known as Aventurine Glass, Dell Roba ("charming" in Italian), Gold Star Glass, Stellaria, Monk's Gold, Monk Stone, and has a history that dates back circa 1100 AD - 1200 AD.
