Maurice Tiberius, Empreror of the Byzantine Empire from 582-602 AD, is featured on the obverse of this Mint State Byzantine Gold Solidus. Fabulous reverse depiction of an angel standing. Great mint luster on both sides. This is an  exquisite piece that will make a wonderful addition for an avid collector. The coin is in a plastic protective case. I have only removed to take photographs, and used art gloves to protect the  patina and handle it with the utmost care.
