    Wow!  This lovely Byzantine folles features the first forward facing image of Jesus Christ, —a different style than Roman coins, which had portraits left or right-facing. The reverse was originally a Greek inscription reading ”Jesus Christ, King of Kings,“ although subsequent issues varied.
