    Description

BYZANTINE ANONYMOUS CHRIST FOLLIS, attributed to MICHAEL IV, AD 1034-41
    Obverse: Christ standing. Cruciform halo.
Reverse: Large cross. The letters IC XC NI KA mean "Jesus Christ Victor." There is tracing of an overstrike.
Michael IV was a brave and courageous emperor, unfortunately in very poor health, so he did not last long. Most of his successors were boobs and incompetents, so the Empire declined steadily throughout the rest of the 11th century.

Always happy to combine shipping on multiple orders. This will be shipped between two pieces of cardboard as a first-class "parcel" so it can be tracked. The foreign postage prices are a guess. I will refund the excess if they are too high.
