    Facial bust of s
    aint martyr George, nimbate, in military garments
    ,
    holding sword in his right and  shield in his left,
    sigla in the field, Γ/Ε/[Ω]-[ΡΓΙΟC]
    (Saint George), all within dotted border.
    Rev.
    : Blank.
    24 mm, 1.65 gr.
    Graphiti and pierced on the perimeter,
    otherwise,
    about Very Fine, exactly as in photos.
    Uncleaned with an attractive natural  patina.
    This medallion was definately mounted initially either on a luxury cross or on the cover of a precious manuscript.
    A nice piece, with historical importance, acquired in a European auction.
