    This is a beautifully designed ring, with a smooth round amethyst centered in a lovely silverwork setting.  The amethyst is clear and rich, with a just few dark inclusions to give it character.  The setting is lovely, with delicate scrolling, milwork, and a very fine braid round the outside edge.  It is a very attractive ring altogether, displaying a good amount of silver without being too heavy.
    The ring is well-made, with a "twin" or double band adding both interest and strength to the ring.  It is a good size for everyday or evening -  3/4"  (19mm) in diameter, with the amethyst being  3/8" (9mm) in diameter - and fits a US/Canadian size 7 1/2 to 7/3/4.  It fits nicely on the finger, and is nice and light - weighs just 0.18 ounce (5 grams).
    I bought this ring some time ago from a reputable seller, and it is marked 925; however I have not tested it for silver content.
    Please see photos for details, and please check measurements - photos are close-up shots to magnify details, which can sometimes distort apparent sizes and proportions.
    As well, it is always good to remember that different monitors may show different tones of colour – if you need clarification, please contact me.
